Tiny Homes to Lower Environmental Footprint

I first heard about tiny homes from a prime time news show that had a bunch of interviews with one of the main designers and some of the people that live in these homes. The main guy was living in a two floor, tiny home with an upstairs bedroom, and I would be lying if I didn’t say I was shocked and intrigued.

This home was completely multi-purpose. The shower was a bathroom. The sink could be covered with the chopping and prep surface. Nothing was wasted and everything was doing double duty. I don’t think I could ever live in such a small space, but I can definitely appreciate cutting the fat and trying to revolutionize the way we look at the things we use.

That’s why I was so happy to see this NYTimes piece on tiny homes. Tiny homes may never be all the rage, but there is definitely something we can all learn from this movement.
