Window shopping, literally

Hello all,
The time has come to educate myself about available window technology and get an idea hat it's going to cost me to replace our windows - all of them.
I'm on Vancouver Island BC but imagine windows could be drop shipped from anywhere. If there's a manufacturer/supplier you'd recommend please let me know. I'm open to local or distant suppliers. Likewise if there's technology or window construction advances I should know about again, please let me know. I'll likely be doing the installation so I'm not looking for an installer at this time.
