Default Geothermal Webinal...

There will be a free webinar titled "Anatomy of a Geothermal Heating/Cooling System". The live webinar is scheduled for Thursday, August 22, 2013
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM CDT. The webinar is offered by Caleffi, a manufacturer of hardware that is tailored to the hydronics and geothermal industries.

Not surprisingly, the webinar will focus on problems that the geothermal designer/installer might encounter and the specific Caleffi hardware that will solve those problems.

I am not associated with Caleffi in any way, nor have I ever purchased or used any Caleffi product. There has been at least one post to EcoRenovator by a regular poster who reports that Caleffi makes good equipment. I have no interest in verifying this. As a hardware hacker and avid DIY guy, I can see how their product lineup would offer much food for DIY thought.

Caleffi archives almost all of their excellent training material and it is freely available.
Best,

-AC

Default

I have bought lots of Caleffi stuff, mostly for solar and boilers, and it is pretty good.

Default Deep Energy Retrofits

The US Department of Energy is doing a free siminar called, "Who's Successfully Doing Deep Energy Retrofits?"

Looks like it could be of interest to those of us who are concerned with preventing energy loss.
