The tank was immersed in a cold bath (just cold water) for two reasons:
1. To help keep pressures low in the tank for recovery 2. As a safety measure. Water absorbs energy should the tank explode. At least that's why scuba tanks are filled while in a water bath. Last edited by Semipro; 03-31-15 at 07:10 AM.. |
