It's more down to dew point than water temperature. Very cold floors with very low humidity don't have a problem. I'm now integrating dew point calculations into my system to reduce the possibility of dew forming - summer is on the way so time for the experiments to begin.

Take a look at this thread to see what I'm doing:

The aluminium radiators don't really work for cooling as there is little or no air circulation, I now turn them off during the summer. I may, at some point, incorporate a fan coil into the system in place of the radiators to see if that helps. Best solution by far though is the under floor heating/cooling.

Hi Acuario can you please tell me what is your incoming water temperature to the radiators and to the underfloor heating when you only use the heat pump without the oil boiler? Thank you

The water temperature for heating varies depending on the outside temperature, I vary the temperature depending on the weather forecast.

Typically the temperature is around 30 degrees on 'normal' days when outside temperature is between 9 and 12 degrees.

It increases up to 34 degrees on cold days with external around 1 or 2 degrees and reduces to 27 - 28 on warmer days when the external temperature is 14 or 15 degrees.

Hi Acuario. I was thinking if you have seen the radiator booster? a pc fan over the radiator to boos air circulation. what are your thoughts about using one of those on your radiators for cooling when you are circulatin cold water inside the rads? thanks for your answers!

Yes that would help. I have also thought about using the axial fans from internal units (I have a load of salvaged units to 'play' with).

The PC fan solution would work but the fans can be noisy, that's why I thought about using the axial fan. The other thing to bear in mind is collecting any condensate from the radiators.

I may try something with the axial fans this summer.
