Energy Audit
So I'm going to be getting an energy audit done. They're going to call me to schedule an appointment. They also gave me a cool extra. It normally costs $180 to get it done and they check for all the leaks in your house, but they're also going to do an electricity audit as well and test to see what phantom loads are going on in my house...and for doing that they reduced the rate by $25. So I'm only going to pay $155 for the works. I wasn't expecting them to do that part so that's a cool extra I think. Anyway, I will repost and give updates once the audit is finished. I'll only have so long to complete anything that needs completing in order to get rebates so I'm going to start working on those items first depending on what they are.

That's a great deal! I'm interested in what they come up with and look forward to hearing about the results.

Ooo good idea. Gotta remember to take pictures. And I believe they give me all the notes that they take but I will make sure to jot anything down that I think is noteworthy.

When I had my audit done they gave me a 15 or so page report with thermal imaging camera photos included so I could later walk around the house and see where the drafts were, while they are doing the audit it's nice to stay focused on what they are doing and saying as there can be alot of info coming at you.
If I had it done again I would make notes with postit notes so I could mark problem areas on the spot. |
