Default Fieldpiece AVG2 Digital Vacuum Gauge to 50 microns

Fieldpiece AVG2 Digital Vacuum Gauge to 50 Microns New | eBay

Looks like this will work with a cheap volt meter, set in the 200 millivolt range.
Or, it could be connected to a Data-Logger input..

How would this be useful? Do you have a need to log micron level vacuum?

I'm not sure, I saw that idea on one of the pages I read while doing some quick research on the AVG2.

My idea was to connect it to an A/D input of something like a CAI controller,
so it could send out an Emails to the HVAC guy who wanted to know how
his over-night vacuum test was doing.
The CAI could also watch the temperature too, just in case it effected the vacuum.

It would be useful to have a machine readable vacuum gauge integrated into a system, and the output from the gauge could be used for monitoring and controlling things like an electronically controlled metering valve, etc.

But I fear that the range of useful information for that use would fall outside of this unit's working range.

(See THIS chart)
