Hello from a Newbie
Hi All, newbie here.
My husband and I are owner building our house and I've posted a Q on the Geothermal forum about my needing help in selecting a mini split or two. Hope to hear from some of 'ya out there. It was this forum that got me thinking in the direction of doing our own install of the mini split. The detailed posts on this forum about mini split installs are REALLY GREAT resources! I'm very interested in use of solar energy in home design. I've played around with a crude hot air collector and I hope to do a DIY solar HW system for our new house ... after the construciton dust settles. Well, great site here, thanks for reading my intro. Welcome to the site Mary. It sounds like you're on the right track with things. Don't forget lots of insulation and a well sealed house can virtually eliminate the need for heat and A/C!
