As you read this, the powers that be are busy sealing our fates for us. Large power utilities and cooperatives are twisting laws against solar power in general, just because it is an alternate power source.

Agree with every word of this text.

Yep) it is because of facebook. Approximately 2 years ago I changed in to Italy and forgot to change back that's why it is showing Italy now.

I am not in favor of any kind of government substities. My utility let's me back feed the grid but they only credit me the following month kwh for kwh that I produce which reduces my electric bill for now. Later on as I grow my system I hope to make it to net zero. I don't think its right for me to expect my non solar neighbor to pay me to have a solar power system through his taxes.

So, not to be too argumentative but, what you are saying is that, by extension, you do not want any public transit, medicare, or anything that is paid communally and that some may use more than others?

I would also say that it indicates that you will put ideology before long term survival of the planet...........interesting.

I've been totally off the power grid for 26 yrs. I've studied the option of grid tie in and out and still can't make a case for it. I see no advantage to it in any way, beyond the fact of living totally normal in a normal home setting with normal big box store appliances..

Once one decides to invest and build a grid tie system, they become a documented target! Everyone knows who you are, where your at, and what you are doing. And, in most cases, if the grid goes down, one's no better off than anyone else. So.. What's all of the Hoop-Laa?

I see no in between personally. One either lives on the umbilical cord or not. Or, perhaps a mixed system with no interconnection between the two..

No. I'm not saying anything by extension. You are saying things about me that you have no idea about.

To compare medicare, which we have a payroll deduction for is not the same as a relative few expecting their neighbor to pay for their solar power system that only they will enjoy the benefits of.

Their neighbors don’t benefit from the clean air when more people are using solar power? Big oil gets all kinds of subsidies how do you feel about them?
