Utilitech 13-Watt (75W) BR30 Soft White Indoor LED Flood $8?

Shop Utilitech 13-Watt (75W) BR30 Soft White Indoor LED Flood Light Bulb ENERGY STAR at Lowes.com

Online, these are $19.98. So when I walked into the local Lowes and saw stacks of them marked down to $7.98,
I just had to grab a couple of them..

They are not made for outdoor use, unless in a sealed fixture..
But are 'suitable for damp locations'...

So, I assume they are somewhat water resistant..
We decided to spray them with clear Krylon paint around
all the seams we could find, and install them outdoors..

Hopefully, they will last a few years..

Anywho, if you have a Lowes around, you might want to check these out.
There's a lot of good reviews on them.. You might see that $8 price too!

These prices are about the same as a 75w halogen flood.. (made for outdoors).

Think I'm going to go back and get 2 or 3 more to replace some outdoor security floods/powerhogs..
They are mounted in weather sheltered locations, so they might work okay.

It was really dark and overcast and these new floods are really nice.
I can see good detail out to the solar arrays.
I think they are a good 75w replacement. Just hope rain and ice stays out of them..

Dang, that would be nice for my office. Most of the bulbs I've been looking at are around $20 or so. Too bad there isn't a lowes close to me.

Yeah, this one is normally $19.98
We went back today and most of them were gone.. I got a couple more.
One is for my electronics work bench and the other is my back-up.. Just in case.

I have three of these new $8 blubs running outdoors and so far, they are doing very well.
They've been exposed to some really rotten weather. (Rain and snow).
And temperatures down around zero deg F..

I'm kicking myself for not buying a few for the garage..
