Try to keep the manifold as close to the ceiling as possible (aids in getting air out) and there should be a ball valve on at least the return of each loop, both is better.

I started work on the floor this weekend with my brother in law. It took a while to get everything figured out as far as what we were actually going to do. But, once we got our templates figured out, he cut the boards, I laid them down, and my sister took additional measurements for him. It started going very smoothly.
We cut the strips of 3/4" plywood with generous spacing for the aluminum spacers. Here is the first corner. It will still need pieces cut to fill things in, but this is the general idea. This is how I ran the 1/2" pex tubing on the tight 180 degree bends. Since my tubing is on 5" centers, this is necessary to avoid kinking it. This is the progress that was made over the weekend. It probably would have gone a lot faster, but it was a very cold weekend. Last night it was about 7F out while my brother in law was outside cutting the plywood!

I wonder how it would work out if you poured mortar into the gaps of your curves, to help to thermally connect the loops to the floor?

Thats not a bad idea, or some sort of epoxy, or any thermally conductive filler really. Any other ideas what I could fill it with guys? I like it, thanks AC.
Edit: Maybe put down some caulk over the top of the tubes, and staple down some flat aluminum over the top of the boards. Of course this would obstruct your view for laying down the bamboo flooring over the top, which needs to be nailed.

I also have a friend who has bought almost every variation on cheap laser leveling and alignment tools ever made. So those are some possibilities I am considering. -AC

We finished up with the plywood work last night. It looks pretty good I think. My sister said it reminds her of Tron...
Here is what the looped ends ended up looking like. Its not real pretty, but it will work.

Just a little update. Before getting the floors all done, I wanted to get painting done. It was started today. Still have to do a bit more and still have to do the ceiling.

I also drilled the holes for the PEX tubing to come up out of the floor.
