Default DIY Solar array DC-DC voltage step-down

I was looking at DC-to-DC voltage step-down Buck Converters

Push-Pull Converter

About the same time, I was looking at the MPPT Pump controller..

And, I started tweaking the sample side over to the output,
and inverted the input to the comparator to turn off the FET when the output
voltage hits the desired range..

I'm probably wrong, but it seems like it might work. If I set the trim-pot
so there was 48vdc on the output, any load out there would cause the
output cap to discharge and the FET would pop back on,
until the output was back up to 48volts..
