Default spray foam insulation

Spray foam roofing offers the highest R-value of any traditional roofing insulation, leading to decreased energy consumption. Spray foam roofing is a rigid, closed-cell plastic created by a combination of two liquid components, which react in seconds and can be walked on in a matter of minutes. This roof system insulates and creates a lightweight, seamless, waterproof blanket over the substrate.
Roofing insulation Benefits
* Superior cold temperature insulation performance
* Superior long-term insulation performance
* High compressive strengths
* Ease of application
* Zero ozone-depletion

The spray foam is only going to be as good as the covering that goes over it because spray foam brakes down in sun light so it needs to have a light proof and water proof coating over top and that is where it can get expensive.

Default energy efficient insulation

Polyurea coatings make an excellent protective covering for polyurethane foam roofs. Polyurea can be formulated to meet specific performance requirements due the wide range of physical properties that can be formulated. Some systems have the "Cool Roof" ENERGY STAR® rating for color and reflectivity. These reflective coatings can help reduce the amount energy consumption buildings use for heating and cooling. The fast cure time and insensitivity to moisture allows for a quicker installation with a wider application window. Proper surface preparation and substrate condition is always necessary.

I lived in a flat roofed apartment in phoenix. The owner had one of these roofs put on. It went on quick. I could not believe the reduction in my utility bills, it was quite noticeable.

the roofing company around here only does it on commercial buildings. that system is war smarter as it never lets the roof get hot in the first place and really strengthens the roof.
they also have a silicone layer they can put on and he said another one but i forgot
