78mm halogen

Anybody find a good led replacement for these little gremlins? All my bathrooms have five of these above the mirrors and they are the only lights I haven't addressed yet, pulled one out today and they are 100w each!!! I could leave all 67 outdoor and indoor lights on and they would use less than leaving the lights on in two bathrooms....

I found these but there's no room in my fixture...

I hate those things. I had them in some 500w work lights and they always burn out. And yes, they suck power.

You may have to change the fixture.

I had the same problem and bought these: 2015 newest 78mm LED R7S light 6w 360 degree beam angle J118 R7S lamp replace halogen lamp 118mm 135mm 189mmAC85 265V-in LED Bulbs & Tubes from Lights & Lighting on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

It's not the prettiest solution, but does work wonders. If you have enough time for these projects I would consider replacing the fixtures.

In the winter , they are a source of heat .

What other source of heat do you have in the bathrooms ?

Ground to air heat pump, ducted throughout the home

So , you do not " need " the 500 watts of electric heat , unless the bathroom is on the north side of the house ?

You could just install one or more ceiling lights with LED lamps and put them on another switch .

Turn on the quartz lamps only when you need supplemental light ( or heat ) .

At one time a lot of bathrooms used 250 watt heat lamps .

Oh ya I don't need the heat, wife likes the lights above the mirror for getting ready and what not though

Just buy a LED light bar and put it above the mirror.
