You can emulate the center channel by sending the signal to both speakers. Very easy to do in the analog domain (can be done with as little as 4 resistors) but not so easy in the digital domain (FPGA would be the easiest, which is not at all beginner friendly).

I build 5 volt amps with Bluetooth. (3 watts/channel) Will run all day on a 5 volt bank battery. (5600 maH.) Impressive on some sensitive speakers..
