Volvo will only make electric and hybrid cars starting in 2019

“Volvo is done with entirely traditional engines and exclusively gas-powered vehicles, the company announced. By 2019, Volvo group intends to offer only either fully electric or hybrid engines on all new models, making it the first automaker to commit to using only alternative drive trains.”

Very cool they see this as the future. I think they are right and I sure hope so.

What a huge step in the right direction. I have to admit, that decision took some bawls.

Jeff I agree and on top of that gas prices are a record low.
They will go back up they always do.

Very interesting, especially coming from Volvo... I don't really think of them as a progressive automaker at all haha.

They are known for safety. I bet that same customer cares about the environment.
They said there customers were requesting these products.
