![]() Put food coloring in your toilet tank. If it seeps into the toilet bowl without flushing, you have a leak. Fix the flapper or ballcock.

![]() Nice simple tip Mike. In the past I've always just tried to listen for leaks, but the food coloring would probably be much more apparent. It would probably be a good thing to do at least 1x a year just to double check things.

![]() A water saving device that has worked well at my house on the toilets and has saved gallons of water.
I installed the device called a, ?We?ve got the handle on water savings?, this give a small flush for urine and a full flush for the heavier stuff. this can be bought for between $20.00 and $30.00 by shopping around. Not hard to install and saved lots of water. |
