Yes, most of the radiators have a small computer fan blowing over it, but I'm not sure if the difference these make is measurable. I have also contemplated replacing a few radiators with slightly larger ones (up to 10%), but cost and hassle may not be worth it.

I've thought about heat pumps, but we have a very small and shaded lot, plus the soil is sand, I'd have to drill really deep to get any kind of heat.

Instead, I plan to install an HRV system and make an ASHP to heat the ingoing fresh air. This (along with increasing insulation of the house) should reduce the use of the central heating system by 1-3 months per heating season.

I've also thought about installing evacuated tube solar panels on the roof, the only place that gets some sun in the winter, to help with heating.
