New guy from Illinois...
Hi everyone, I'm Tony from Illinois.
I guess it's important to know that I am a cheap-scape, yet love to spend money on saving money! LOL!!! I am concerned that someday soon we will all need to be a LOT more self sufficient. I am taking the opportunity NOW to learn as many fundamentals as possible. I found this site while looking for additional information on making a Solar Pop Can heater. I have learned much here already. Thanks for having me, Tony |

Welcome to the site Tony. It sounds like you've come to the right place. Are you going to be building a solar hot air collector?

Thanks Daox.
Yes. I have been doing research for a few weeks and started construction last weekend. The thought of using Solar to collect heat makes me feel all warm inside! LOL!! Like many, I try to be resourceful and re-use existing components in new ways. I have a few unique ideas that I am going to try and will share them with anybody interested. For me, it is mostly about the "learning". And as much can be learned in failure as success. I started a webpage and will post pictures and such there as this thing evolves. https://sites.google.com/site/tonysf...pop-can-heater Tony |
