So, you have to get approval from the city and the HOA? Sounds like you live in a good location.
Some people around here have that NIMBY disease. My city want's to install PV
on a landfill over an old dump site. But the NIMBYs fear the worse.
The heavy panels will sink into the landfill and cause a disaster of some kind.
City Proposes Solar Farm for Former Landfill - Woburn, MA Patch

We are only 18 miles from Salem, MA. Where they used to burn women, thinking they were witches..

I don't expect my backyard PV is going to go unnoticed forever..
One of these days, someone is going to object to them..

I'm very jealous of the setup and of the sand you had to dig to put that trench in. It would take me at least a day to dig those holes and that trench in my backyard and I'd have a huge pile of rock when done.

Me too! Within inches of the surface, I would be hitting large granite rocks..
Some weighing more than me, with a few weighing more than my SUV.

The installation looks way too professional Quality workmanship..
Neat job on the welds. What did you paint over them with?

i used cold galv spray paint thank you for the compliments yes digging in the sand is fun compared to up north. i grew up in Maryland and was always digging with my dad in the hard shale clay. i was his backhoe lol me and that digging bar would go at it. it took me an hour to dig the holes and 30 min for the trench.
