Do I get a cookie?

I saw one of Daox's posts over on Ecomodder and followed his link. Lots of interesting reading so far. My wife and I live in a single family home in Virginia. Current home improvement plans include duct sealing (once the weather warms a bit) and installing soffit vents to complement an existing ridge vent. Most recent improvement was transferring a water tap that supplies a home humidifier. It had been drawing from the hot water line, causing hot water to bleed out of the water heater on a continuous basis whenever the electric furnace was running.
