Rapid start, instant on CFL
Anyone know of a particular brand or type of CFL that is an instant on, meaning there is no warm up period?
I'm also looking for one in a indoor flood light style for our ceiling can lights. We have a ton of can lights and at 65watts each it uses a lot of power when their all on. I want to switch them over to CFL's but the wife hated the ones we used to have that took about 15-30 to get fully warmed up and bright. |

GE: Hybrid light bulb solves CFL issues | Green Tech - CNET News
It's made by GE but isn't available until next year. No word on pricing. |

Interesting (probably expensive at first) but I have seen CFLs out in the field that are quick starting like I'm looking for but never got a chance to find out what brand they were.
