Default Great Value LED's

Put two 60W equivalent Great Value (Wal-Mart house brand) LED's in the other day. These things throw off way more light than 60W equivalent CFL's. Looks like it to me anyway. Only $8 for 4 of them.

In a box like these but have 13 year life on the box instead of 9.

The dollar tree store in my area has the same product (different brand on the box) for $1 each right now. The decade of lifespan is questionable, since the parts that run the LED emitter array are sensitive to power surges and spikes. I have had a few of both types (LED and CFL) go out during thunderstorms. The power savings vs light intensity is unquestionably the best feature. I like the LED bulbs better than CFL due to the fact that they light up instantly at full intensity. This is most obvious when it's cold.
