Advertising Trolls
Is there a way to get rid of and/or discourage these people who leave ads on various (often 2 or 3 or 4) sub-forums? I come here because of the great community full of diverse knowledge and experience and these ad-tacks/barrages take away from that (IMO).
It's just getting a little annoying... |

You're telling me. Just use the 'report post' button and the mods/admins will get to it as soon as we're notified. The security is already tighter than I'd like for new users to register (its kind of a pain and I have had people complain about it too).

Oh, the life of an admin. Stuck in the middle and no way to win.
I forgot about the report button. What exactly happens after that? |

It sends an email to all the admins and moderators notifying them.

At which point the admins have options? Delete the thread/post, ban user(s), etc.?

Daox,
I think you may have a curious apprentice in the making. Keep up the good work, staff members. |
