How about hooking the Tv to a "smart strip" that shuts off all the extra outlets off when you turn off the TV? Most flat screen TV's use less than 2W while in standby. It would be interesting to see how much the Kill-a-watt controller uses vs. a TV.
If you REALLY want to save money can the $100/mo TV bill and use an antenna or internet for TV. |
