Default Solar ORC in developing countries

Here's an article and video of solar Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) in developing countries. This is work done by MIT.
It makes me want a setup like this to cover electricity, hot water, and with a chiller stage cool food and maybe a small room of the house a little.

MIT develops new "reverse air conditioner" solar power system for the developing world

When I went to the Midwest Renewable Energy Expo in Custer, WI this year, one of the presenters showed solar in countries not nearly well off as the US. His solar emphasis wasn't solar electricity, it was all about solar heating. There are many Asian countries where all of the houses are mandated to have a solar heating panel on their house. He went on to discuss the low cost and bang for the buck type setup.

I've always wanted to do a DIY solar heating setup. I plan to do it soon if I can find an appropriately large piece of glass as big as I can find but sized so it can fit into someone elses SUV to haul it home. If one helps quite a bit as I expect, I'll double it next year.
