Eco vacuum cleaner (Electrolux Ultra Silencer Green)
We recently had to buy a new vacuum cleaner and we saw this: Electrolux Ultra Silencer Green. It costs more than the average vacuum cleaner, but I searched around on the Web and found it for less than the next best candidates. It came two days later
So what's so eco about it?
Even though the motor is quieter than most vacuums, this one has additional filters which further silence it. Removing them doesn't harm the cleaner, but gives you even better sucking power for even less electricity needed. (With a cat and a shorthaired dog, which both love rolling in the dirt, we need all the suck we can get.) This vacuum cleaner should be available in most of Europe and Australia, but apparently not North America. |

So, I take it you're very happy with the vacuum?

We have an old Rainbow vacuum, not the bes sucking power but it gets the job done, but instead of a bag it uses water as the filter, you fill the bottom of it with tap water and all the dirt and air has to pass thru the water before exiting, so it does a good job of not spewing dust in to the air, it then gets dumped on the compost pile.

That's a pretty neat idea. Reminds of of the old oil bath air filters.

Oh, yeah Since it's quiet, the dog is less scared of it. The Wife didn't let me try to vacuum the cat
