Default How much electricity does a standard electric stove use?

For a big burner, on high? Trying to get some comparative numbers for something I'm writing about. My stove is 220v though so I can't hook up a kill-a-watt. Anyone know offhand?

I can tell you that my GAS OVEN uses around 300 watts while the glow plug is running.

I would never have thought that a gas oven would use that much electricity!
