Default Mini-split modification question?

Hi everyone.
Since some time ago,i'm wondering is it worth to change the capillary system of cheap mini-split system with standard TXV,not EEV,since the price of the EEV+controller is about 2-3 times of the price of the conditioner?
I remember long ago i've read somewhere that a guy was comparing real observations of the two types of TXV and EEV and concluded, that there is no big difference in performance between them.
My plan is to change the throttling system as Fig.2 on that page
https://www.industrialcontrolsonline...t-pump-systems,and i think that there will be significant difference in the performance over the cap tube system, since as we know, cap tube has it's peak performance, only at one set of pressures/temps.
Does anyone done it before?
Thanks.
