Default looking for info

Looking for a replacement differential controller with display for my 8 panel solar hot water system with 500 gal storage tank. This system is a collection of parts from two separate systems. I have been using the old "Independent Energy" controller for a year. Want an adjustable cut in/cut out setting, but it needs to work with the 10K sensors in the panels.

Welcome to the site.

Are you looking for a DIY type solution (like an Arduino based controller), or a commercially made controller?

I've had very good luck with items found on E-bay out of China. There are several nice units avalible. Check Solar Hot Water. I have the packages mailed to my address without a problem. The quality is good for the items I had purchased.

Could you post some photos of you solar heating system. Your system of eight panels is a good size. How much of a impact are you making on your heating requirements? What is the sq.ft. you are servicing? How long have you had your system operating.

We are in Ontario Canada last year we hadn't collected much as cloud cover was the theme for the winter. And this year the season has started the same.

Hopefully in Osh. your enjoying more sun.
P.S. We have enjoyed for many years the fly-in!!

I use Resol, almost exclusively (300+ installs), it is good quality and has a lot of built in schematics for different types of systems.

I'm looking for a commercial/complete unit, preferably a vari-speed output for the pumps.
My system heats a 2100 sq. ft. residence with a water-to air A coil on top of the forced air furnace. (A- coil also cools the home with well water during the summer months.)
A second use of solar heat is a suspended fin tube coil in the storage tank which preheats the domestic water before the W. heater receives it. The gas water heater was turned off from last May to Sept. because of steady tank temps. above 120 deg. F.

This system went online one year ago November. During the Dec. though Feb. days the tank temp. is usually too low to provide much temperature rise for the A-coil to do anything. Panels are set at 65 degree tilt for winter heating.
