Default survied the storm

Last week we had a severe storm with 6 small tornados in the area, my neighbor recorded 85 MPH straight line winds and we had one of the tornadoes just 1/2 mile south of here... no one hurt. But my 12 ft x 40ft hot water panels held with no damage.... my 2 4' x 10 ' hot water panels on the house held strong too . We lost power for 3 days but we lived, was worried for a while, and some neighbors with blown in windows

In the middle of a severe storm, you will rarely regret any extra effort made in attaching any panel. I was thankful to see the engineer's math on my PV array indicates it should survive a 3-second gust of 170mph. I pray I never test his math with real world physics, because the real world comes with flying debris.

Glad to hear you, your neighbors, and your panels survived.

Woo, nice to see all that extra work paid off eh? Sometimes it seems like overkill while you're doing it, but when these things roll around you can be VERY happy you don't have to do it again!
