To begin with, I didn't watch the video, so I may be way off.

Most perpetual motion/free energy machines use magnets and that's where they get their energy from. As "free" energy is extracted, the magnets lose their magnetism. After a while, there is not much energy left and the magnets must be replaced with new ones.

That giant wheel thing needs to be running indoors and out of the wind and sun, before it can be actually tested.

That off-balanced wheel design has been around since the wheel was invented,
but it's 'perpetual motion' can't keep it going for very long.
If it could, every body would have a small working model on their desk..

In the video, the old man was pulling on the wheel (by hand) as it moved by him..



The Rube Goldberg Ball-on-a-Rail thing looked cool. I think the hidden heavy pendulum
inside the center column might be where a hidden battery is stashed.

If not, it might be somehow using the earth's rotational energy. Check out the Foucault Pendulum.
