I was doubtful , too .

My guess , when I got home from work ( about 05:00 PM ) would have been in the HIGH 90's ?

Today's forecast is for a high of 97 F .

God bless
Wyr

PS Need to get off my lazy behind and ( now that it has warmed up a little ) replace my old electrical service with a new 200 amp service .

Need a better place to tie in the mini split and the new electric water heater .

You guys did an awesome job on this! Its helping me a lot in getting prepped for my own install.

I have absolutely zero experience in working with ac/gauges/pumps/etc.....lol! But I aint skeered.

Can I ask one favor?

Can you draw a diagram of how you ended up connecting everything to do the vacuum?

Seems as though you didn't even use a manifold gauge if im understanding correctly? So you connected like this?:

MS service port -> YJ ballvalve -> YJ vacuum hose -> SVG3 micron gauge (guess there is a T here included?) -> YJ vacuum hose -> Robinaire pump

Are all the service ports standard size (1/4"?) on these things that the YJ ball valve/hoses connect correctly?

I bought a mitsu MSZ-FE12na/MUZ-fe12na

Sorry for the ignorance

Again awesome write up!

Look at post 110
I was just testing my new hoses here. Add a T here with the micron gouge on the T. The ball valve would go to the MS adapter and on the MS.
That is how I did mine. Once the vacuum was where I wanted it I would shut off the ball valve then release the Freon the quickly remove the ball valve.

You might want to wait for someone that has HVAC experience to confirm this I
is the best method.

Only do this if you tested your ball valve under very low vacuum the first two ball valves I got would not work under very low vacuum.

You can test your hoses and ball valve just the way I did in this post.

My mini split had a standard 1/4" fitting . I have that size hoses & gauges . And my vacuum pump uses that fitting , too .

God bless

No they are great valves but you should still test them to make sure they are working good.
Mine easily pulled down to 55 microns when I tested them.
I was not sure what ball valve you bought.

Close....but i got the model right below it as i dont need the ultra low temp heating options. Its going in a server room so it will never run on heat anyway.

SORRY, i tried to post a link but i dont have enough posts yet i guess.?
