The install manual has a code, "CG 2-98" on page 1. I assume this is a 1998 unit.

The manual shows this ODU uses four Low voltage wires
connected to the indoor unit. (Which isn't with this unit).

Since it's low voltage, I assume the ODU uses two lines for powering the (indoor) fan motor and controller board.
So the other two lines are all that's left to communicate commands from the IDU (and the remote).

Since it's not an inverter unit, I assume the commands are likely
very simple. Like off and on, with heat or cool.
But, it could be a more complicated serial comm setup like newer units..

The install manual has a code, "CG 2-98" on page 1. I assume this is a 1998 unit.

I've asked the Ebay seller about the R22 charge and if there is a Service manual available for web-viewing..
If anybody has seen a link to more tech details about this unit, please post.

If the controls lines can be easily used, this might be a good unit to use
for a DIY DHW heater.

Default Sold

Sold for $100 (free shipping)..

It was worth that in parts, to anyone who has to service that model anyways..
You can find that parts for it online.. I think the compressor was over $400
