![]() I believe it says 500 mile on one gallon per ton. Which is still impressive but their talking about thousands or hundreds of thousands of tons.

![]() As I sat in traffic waiting today for a FEC train to drop a few cars on a siding, I thought to myself: "Ok, so a train moves a ton of freight 500 miles on a gallon, but how many gallons of fuel are wasted by cars sitting in traffic waiting at lights like this every day?"
