Default heat pump water heater

Old elec WH started to leak.

Local poco rebate (PSE) paid 100% of my purchase price of a new GE hybrid WH, AND I got a $300 tax credit from IRS -- but did get stuck for the $70 state sales tax on the GE HYbrid. Net 'profit' of $230!

On vacation out of town for 10 days this month , the WH kept the tank at 130F for 60 cents (have a separate w-hr meter on WH).

Even a better deal than DIY, one of the rare 'even beats DIY' instances.

I'd like to analyze performance a bit but there isn't enough information.

What is your electric rate? ..or better yet, I'm looking for the actual kwh energy usage.
What would you say the average ambient temperature was in the area of the water heater for the 10 day duration?

Awesome catch on the water heater, can't beat a price cheaper than free.

6 kW-hrs, room ambient about 58F (which is where the WH draws the evaporator air) Actually, between 6 and 7 kW-hrs as the meter reads only to the kW-hr level, no fractions.

do have added R-11 batts around the tank.
