RV air conditioning water misting
My RV air conditioning unit will not operate for very long if the temperature is over 100 deg. F.
Last year, I installed a water mister between the fan and the condenser coils. That allowed the unit to cycle on for 20 minutes and off for 10 minutes at 100+ degrees. I've used misters in the same fashion with 5000 BTU window hangers. That lowered my electric bill and kept the grass watered a little too well. This year, I want to add a electric valve to turn the water on and off when the unit cycles. A 120 VAC valve would be the best IMHO, but I'd settle for 12 or 24 Volts AC or DC. Suggestions are appreciated. Part numbers would help too. Last edited by philb; 07-09-14 at 10:47 PM.. |
