Default Mother Earth News Fair 2012 at Puyallup Fairgrounds

Anybody going to the show tomorrow or Saturday in Puyallup, Washington? Mother Earth News Magazine over the years has had a lot of great eco ideas that I enjoy learning about. Mother Earth News Fair Puyallup 2012 Program Guide.

Two full days of workshops from DIY solar panels, to raising chickens, to insulating with spray foam, etc.
The vendors were dishing up free advice and ideas. One booth had a do it yourself sun tracker system using a satellite dish mount. He used the Redrock led tracker eyes.
The first workshop had info on making solar panels. The speaker and his Dad do it as a father/son project and are even sandwiching their solar plates in a liquid self leveling type sealant. DIY cost for them was $5370 compaired to the cost to purchase new and installed was $45,300. Very interesting.
Actor Ed Bagley Jr. was there promoting a composting toilet.
