Default Poly-Iso Insulating Foam R-value is Changing...

Various foam R-values get discussed a lot on this forum, so I thought it would be of interest to know that new testing procedures are being applied.

R-value is being reduced from R-6/inch to R-5.7/inch

There could be other changes to other materials, too.

Default

The same holds true for 2lb urethane foam and isonine foam. Long term tests show a settling of R values for most foams.
