Welcome to the site Jimmo. Are you looking to build your own pedal generator?

I actually built one last year and another this year. I was just looking around the web to see what others were doing. I used one of those 24 volt scooter motors for a generator. It works very nicely. I am an avid cyclist so I ride all winter long in my basement anyway, just thought I would put that power to good use. It charges a small 9Ah battery connected to an inverter that powers the tv I watch during my workout.

Welcome Jimmo,
A while back I read about this gym that has generators installed on most of their equipment.
It powers the lights and a lot of their business machinery..
