DIY Solar Thermal - Hawaii Addition
I like this idea. Its super simple, and super cheap. I do wonder about the tubing's ability to hold up to the UV over time. But, he could easily spray paint it for some UV protection and bury the rest of the pipe easily enough. What do you guys think? Yeah, that is true. But, this would work very well for anyone who is in a non-freezing climate. If you're in a non-freezing climate you should never again have to pay for hot water!

Simple is better, I like it.
Keep the water flowing when Sun is on it, or pipe might melt. PV panel with DC pump would work well. |
