"Call for free estimates," which is to say they haven't fixed a price.

Looks a little ridiculous. For a couple hundred bucks and an afternoon, you could make a huge solar collector. A little PEX-AL-PEX, some aluminum flashing, insulation and the rest, hey presto. The tricky part is getting the heat into the water heater. Lots of heat exchangers on eBay, so that's not a big deal either.
