Bosch point of use geothermal HP

I saw that Bosch has a point of use system that you just pipe water to. I don't know much else about it but I saw it on their website. I don't think I can post links yet. This type of system would be great for my house with no ducts. I would have to drill a well and I can't find any costs or any retailers that would sell to regular people. So I will probably go ASHP but this is interesting.

There are several marine point of use Air Conditioners. These would work fairly well in this situation. I don't think there are any that are inverter driven however. They are also about the same cost as low end inverter driven mini-splits. They are also designed for a ducted outlet with a short duct run so they won't cool or heat as evenly as a mini split would. In most cases you also need to supply a water pump.

Bill, please disclose to us what you are considering. Most of the units that operate as you describe are made for boats. The hard part of geothermal heating is the water side. There are many heat pump units available.

I was thinking that it would be easy to mount one on the wall and plumb a water line to it but then I still would have to drill a well. I think I am going with a mini split ASHP setup.
