weatherUSA.net Weather Cam Navigator: Sherman Weather Cam

Some all-time records are being set this morning..
Record Noise Count: 401/min @ 7:14:17 AM on Monday, June 25, 2012
Record Stroke Count: 1722/min @ 7:17:49 AM on Monday, June 25, 2012

I've never seen anything like this.. Gonna go disconnect my ham radio antennas!
If that computer model is right, we are going to see a LOT of hits in the Boston area..

I was working in North Adams today and we had a little rain on and off. We heard some thunder but saw almost no lightning. I came home to find 5hat my daughter had closed all of the windows because there were torrential down pours with dramatic thunder and lightning. It's fine here now. I guess my happy disposition just draws the fine weather.

We had some heavy rain here, but the lightning wasn't too bad.
I've seen a lot worse around here. I guess those folks down around Hartford
got a lot more zappin than we did..

I see the maps above are updating in real-time.. Nice and clear now.

Was in Beverly at the time and had subtle flashes and distant thunder but not too impressive.

When the map showed it was 50 miles away, "Distant thunder" was audible here.
Sounded like one continuous low growl coming from the west.
I called my wife out on the deck and asked her to listen.
She said it was the traffic on 128.. I said nope, it's past rush hour and 128 is louder..

But, thankfully, it was weakened by the time it got here.
At times, I did notice the lightning detection data was missing from some of the source maps.
I assumed they lost power or took a hit at their data center.
By the time it passed, all of the sites were showing strike data again..
