Default Our rocket stove water heater: 2.5 years on

A great little article about how this ranch uses a rocket stove to heat hot water for showers. Its been in use for 2.5 years, and they update how it has held up over time. They also have some great links to articles on how it was made, and some tweaks that were made over time.

My Brother in Law has one in their Straw bale house, His is a Mass heater built into a 7'x7 stone and concrete heat storage mass. He lights it in the morning with a roaring fire leaves it and the Mass soaks up the heat and releases through the day , the next fire takes it through the night. Pretty economical as it uses the flue gases for heat.
