I reversed the rotation of the ceiling fan in the kitchen and we use it each night when we are cooking dinner. It definitely helps circulate the heat from cooking and raises the comfort level in the kitchen and living room.

have used in summer - but not in winter ( at least not yet)
we have an open living room ( no floor above it) so it is like 20 some feet...

I will change the direction this weekend ( doing some cleaning and will have the ladder out). Good to know the LOW setting is the one to use...
