Default Saving $1000 in 30 days

I've been following this series of posts, and decided I would post up here about it: Tip #2: Turn your thermostat down 3 degrees | I Will Teach You To Be Rich

The goal is to cut $1000 of expenses out of your life by following the daily, in depth posts on saving in certain fields. Pretty interesting stuff, including #2, which I linked above. I'd have to turn the thermostat down to 63, though! . I'm going to count that one as already done.

Tip #1: Pack lunches for the rest of the week
-I pack a lunch 4 days a week

Tip #2: Turn your thermostat down 3 degrees
-utilities are included for me. I would do it if I paid for it.

Tip #3: Sell something on eBay today
-it has been a while since I did ebay/ craigslist sales.

Tip #4: Involve your friends in your savings challenge
-my friends know of my cheapness already.

Tip #5: Optimize your cellphone bill
-Already on a low cost plan.

Tip #6: Use gas prices to become your own hedge fund
-meh

Tip #7: Create a “No Spending” day once a week.
-I only spent $0.85 today on vending machine snack. That is almost a no spend day.

Hmm it's pretty hard to save $1000 in 30 days when your income minus your rent is only $700 a month. I guess I already live cheaply

Well I don't have a income so I can't do that either! :P But I'll go for that "sell something at eBay"...
Should start saving up for an EV!
Need either $8200 to buy a Renault Electrique or $15100 to build my own EV.

And besides, selling stuff is a way of recycling...
