I finished up the Grace Ice and water underlayment on the roof. Just in time it started to rain just as I finished.

I did the flashing in the door jam and the door is hung. It swings very nice.
This is the $50 insulated fire rated door I got off craigslist from 84 lumber. It had some white over spray on it you can see it in the picture. It will need painted anyway. I did not need a 8' door but for $50 I am fine with it being that big.

I spent a lot of time on the greenhouse the last three days it nice to work on it for a block of time and get some stuff done.

Putting up some temporary plastic to keep the cold out some. I will cover the back vents for now.
That way I can move on to putting the ice and water shield on the outside walls. This stuff does not like to be installed when it is cold out we don't have that many more warm days left.

I broke out my air stapler last night and put plastic up over the back vents.
It is going to get cold tonight so maybe this will help some.

Rain again today but it looks like it will dry out tomorrow and be nice over the weekend.

I lucked out and the wind picked up and dried the OSB out.
I started on the walls but I am going to have to order some more to finish.

I have another roll coming but that will just cover the back wall.

I talked to the Grace Regional rep and he told me to use 3M™ Super 77™ to make sure the grace ice and water sticks to the walls.
It is only listed to work on roofs and 3M 77 is not necessary on a roof.

This mornings before work work on the greenhouse. I put caulking all around the 2 x 6 that is between the wall and the roof. No more air coming in there.

It is 43 F out but the greenhouse is warming up.

Thanks I am still very excited to get it done. Today it seemed a little more real it was not sunny and it was 70 in the greenhouse and 50 outside.

The auto vents get here tomorrow they should make it so I am not a slave to temp regulation.

I still think simple is the best way to go on the vents.

Didn't know that those auto-vents existed.
I would have gone with an electronic sensor controlling some fans. Maybe with a CAI pcb.

Reminds me of the balanced solar array trackers that use the sun's heat to move the mount, no electricity involved.

I went out yesterday and re-aligned my panel array angles to reap more watts.
It's nice in the sitting here in the sun by the window in my PC room..
Really sunny day. Lots of free home heating and hot water..
