Default Solar-Powered Paint Could Produce 4,500 GW-Hrs a Year

Very interesting prospect. Even if it is only 5% efficient, if you can keep the costs in line you still have an amazing product. I do wonder how it works though. Typical solar cells have a positive front and negative back side (or opposite, I forget). I'd imagine the paint has the same effect, but I'm not sure how it would be wired.

These revolutionary solar panel breakthroughs are in the news a few times a year.
But, I'm pretty sure that only about 2% of them ever see any production..

The words "solar panel breakthrough" yields About 23,800 Google hits..

I read about ideas like this in a book written 20 years ago.
