Default choosing a vacuum pump

Hi all,
Looking for recommendations on a vacuum pump to replace my 25-30 year old single stage which I bought second hand. I will be working with auto AC and mini splits. current mini split I am working on is 2.5kw.
any suggestions would be most appreciated.
regards,
James.

If you don't already have a micron gauge, get one. Then (if necessary) change the oil in your pump and see how well it does.

My YJ 6cf/m is great. The important thing is that you will be using it a lot so buying something based on price might get you into trouble. I bought this one expecting it to last 20 years.
